Breaking Bad: Badger’s Star Trek Script

Vince Gilligan had been telling the story of a pie-eating contest gone wrong aboard the Enterprise to the writers of Breaking Bad for as long as writer Peter Gould can remember.

“Since probably the first season,” laughed Gould, the author of last night’s season-5.5 opener, “Blood Money.” When it came time to give Badger another stoned (and yet amazingly coherent!) speech, Gould says he asked to borrow Gilligan’s Star Trek fan fiction, which involved an ill-fated Chekov and the gross misuse of the transporter.

“We talk about Greek tragedy in the writers’ room, but there are a lot of geeks, so there’s a lot of geek tragedy, too,” Gould said.

More Game of Thrones 80/90s Era Characters

Graphic artist Mike Wrobel likes to draw Game Of Thrones characters set in the 1980s and ’90s, complete with color-saturated clothes befitting pop culture archetypes.

First he released a set which included grunge dude Jon Snow, alternachick Daenerys Targaryen, Sansa Stark by way of Kelly Kapowski, and more. Then we saw his take on popular kid Tyrion Lannister, glam rock Cersei Lannister, and cringe-inducing Theon Greyjoy.

Firefly …ROCKS! (Rock Cover)

FIREFLY. Why, oh, why were you ever canceled?! I still hold out hope that one day before all the actors are too old, they’ll bring it back. This is probably my most ambitious recording attempt so far, with a more full-on song production than I’ve done before. I hope you guys enjoy my take on the Ballad Of Serenity.

The theme from Firefly was written by Joss Whedon and originally performed by Sonny Rhodes. All credit to them for inspiring this arrangement!

Awesome: Game of Thrones 80/90s Era Characters

What “Game of Thrones” would have looked like if the action had been set in a contemporary period such as the 80s and 90s?

What if swords, bows, spears and armors had been replaced with some NES guns, bats and tracksuits?

This is a fun project made by John Hughes, imagining all the characters fighting for the throne in a 80/90s grunge/gangsta/hip-hop era.
