Cam-Shaft 2013 Ferrari F12berlinetta

German aftermarket firm Cam-Shaft is proposing a much milder and purely cosmetic take on a car that doesn’t really need any performance upgrades to stand out from the crowd anyway.

What Cam-Shaft is recommending is a foil wrap in a matte gunmetal shade for the exterior of the Ferrari supercar that will cost you €2,900 (approximately US$3,800 at today’s currency rates) plus another €700 (US$900) if you want to cover the door sills and edges.

An additional €700 (US$900) will get you a powder coating of the F12berlinetta’s original wheels in the same color as the rest of the car.

If you do the math, the total comes out to €4,300 or about US$5,600 (if you live in Germany).

The first group of specialised journalists from all over the world have for the first time the possibility of personal contact with the model from the Prancing Horse, the spearhead of a new generation of Ferrari 12-cylinders.

Meanwhile the Scuderia Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa are back behind the wheel of the F12 after the development sessions over the previous months.

Many Ferrari F12berlinetta SOUND On The Road

During a day spent in Maranello, Ferrari’ hometown, I was lucky enough to see and record some new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is the successor of the 599 GTB Fiorano and it’s the most powerful Ferrari road car ever made: the 6.2 V12 engine can produce a power of 740 bhp at 8.250 rpm and a max torque of 690 Nm. The car can accelerate form 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in just 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 340 km/h.

In the video you can see some of them around the streets of Maranello making some accelerations and fly bys. You can also see a very quick track scene: I was able to film one of them making some tests on the Fiorano racetrack.
