2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham Special Edition

The former Spice Girl and current fashion designer Victoria Beckham was appointed Land Rover’s creative design executive in July 2010 when the Evoque was originally launched.

The Special Edition Evoque is based on the 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline-powered three-door version and only 200 units will be built with the Chinese getting first dibs.

David Beckham’s better half commented: “I was very excited to be working with Land Rover as I have an enormous amount of respect for the brand. I’ve always driven a Range Rover, for me they are the epitome of quality and luxury. For me you should feel luxury. My brand is known for quality and workmanship and so is Land Rover. So for me it felt like the perfect collaboration.”

The Evoque with Victoria Beckham is the first ever Land Rover with a factory hand-finished matt paint job, while it is further distinguished from its non-posh (pun intended) siblings by the 20-inch gloss black forged alloys, the “Santorini” gloss black detailing on the bodywork and the rose-gold plated grille surround and badges.

Director of Design Gerry McGovern said: “Both Land Rover and Victoria Beckham are British luxury brands with credibility and global appeal, this dual ‘Britishness’ makes the collaboration even more exciting especially when considering the huge audience for bespoke products around the world, particularly in China, Russia and Brazil where Land Rover is growing”.

Tony Stark Drives Acura NSX Roadster to The Avengers Red Carpet Premiere

The world premiere of Marvel’s big-budget The Avengers film at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood on Wednesday gave us the chance to see Acura’s NSX Roadster in real life as actor Robert Downey Jr., aka Tony Stark, drove the one-off concept model on the red carpet.
