On this episode of Dirt Every Day, Fred Williams up fits and outfits one of the coolest 4x4’s on the market today, the Ford Raptor. Raptors are high performance desert machines, but we found one that earns it’s owner a living each week banging around on an obscure desert compound.

The owner is hard on his equipment and we took this poor bird of prey under our wing for a week to transform it into a more vicious desert predator.

The Testarossa Presence

For a supercar, the Testarossa deserves much more respect than it garners. Its beauty has been overlooked by some in favor of the Countach. Now discounted to a fraction of its original price, it waits humbly for a return to grace.

Vintage car collector Joe Ventura waits along with it. In the meantime, he’s lucky enough to live daily with this beautiful redhead.

2014 Porsche Cayman S! Is the Lightest Porsche Now the Best Porsche? [Ignition Episode 73]

On this episode of Ignition, Carlos Lago gets behind the wheel of the newest iteration of Porsche’s Cayman line, the 2014 Porsche Cayman S. After some twisty road driving, Carlos meets up with pro driver Randy Pobst at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to discuss the capabilities of the new Cayman on the track. It’s track ready, balanced, and can go from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds… but is it worth it’s fully loaded six figure price tag?

First previewed on its Boxster platform-mate, and shown at last year’s Los Angeles Auto Show, the new Cayman looks more aggressive than its predecessor. From the 918 Spyder-aping looks to the scalloped air intakes on the doors to the silicone-injected hips, the car looks buffer. It’s larger, too. The wheelbase has been stretched by 2.4 inches, while the overhangs on either end have been shortened by 10mm. Overall length is only up 0.1 inch. The track has been widened 40/12mm front/rear.

2013 SRT Viper vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series! [Head 2 Head Episode 36]

On this episode of Head 2 Head, Motor Trend’s Jonny Lieberman pits two members of the “more than 600 horsepower club” against each other - the 2013 SRT Viper & the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series. It’s a three-bout heavyweight match that begins with real world canyon carving, moves on to an all-out quarter mile drag race, and then finishes with blistering hot laps around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca with hot shoe Randy Pobst.

Despite a huge gap in price, both of these long-nosed, front-engine, RWD, two-seat brawlers represent significant revisions of their wild predecessors. Will good old fashion American muscle beat out German Engineering? Join us as we find out.
