Chevrolet Tru 140S FWD Concept
Think of the Tru 140S as GM’s Mitsubishi Eclipse both in terms of styling and mechanical layout as the three-door model combines a 1.4-liter Turbo Ecotec engine featuring eAssist with front-wheel drive.
GM says that the 1.4-liter Turbo Ecotec engine would deliver around 150HP and return 40MPG on both concept coupes, adding that if any of the two models would enter production, they would be priced “in the low $20,000s”.
“Young customers tell us they want functionality with coupe-like aesthetics. Both the Code and Tru body styles resonated with this audience,” said Frank Saucedo, director of the GM North America Advanced Design studio in Los Angeles where both models were conceived.
